Dear Valerie,
I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate you on both understanding and motivating my efforts to reach out to new referral sources in novel and innovative ways for small care management companies. As a result of your webinars I developed the courage to try a helper. A long time older client who lost her husband last year accompanied me to visit her physician and others in his office as a “cold call”. The staff made a big fuss over her and she introduced my services to several staff that were not familiar with care management services in such a way that I accompanied her. I only answered questions when spoken to. She is all set to “go on the road again” as she puts it and next time wants to go more than one place and start earlier. Of course it didn’t hurt that she was an old vaudeville star and we had a delightful lunch together.

My experience with Valerie VanBooven as the LTC Expert has been more than positive. Since she uses the techniques she teaches, her methods and advice are extremely relevant and up-to-date, and Valerie is a good role model for her marketing practices. We are a small family run Senior Helpers franchise in Southern California. Although seniors are plentiful in the area we face intense competition from many other companies, (over 100) operating in the same county. Although I have experience in sales I am new to marketing and the efforts to get the phone ringing with customer contacts. We weren’t trying to re-invent the wheel; we didn’t really know how to build one. The advertising lessons of “what not to do” were very expensive. Just a few months ago I found you, Valerie VanBooven, and the Amazing Senior Service Marketing on the internet. I watched your videos on UTube and I read your written material, and with new inspiration and drive I started implementing your ideas.
I attacked the Internet and posted on every available site and studied SEO. Your ideas put me on the first page of google search at no cost to our company. I then put together our first company newsletter, thanks to you, and as corny as it was it received rave revues from our clients and their families, and like you said: it showed that we care. I used the “Senior Solution” article, updated it and it helped to “button-up” a new client that was on the fence. Your program works. A few months ago we were lucky to hear the phone ring once a week, now we need additional staff to keep up. The leads are coming in, the phone is ringing and our billable hours have increased 600%.
Every team needs direction, inspiration and a coach. You offer so much knowledge and ideas at very little or no cost that work.
We are not “out of the red” yet, but we are on our way to a successful business and strong growth in this New Year.
